Joined a Vista 32 workstation into a Small Business Server 2003 domain.
Outlook 2003 say it's connected, but all folders say "This folder has not yet been updated".
Does this combination work?
TIA, RK

Vista & Exchange / Outlook ?
Yes, I have had Office 2003 working on Windows Vista. Be sure you make an exception in the firewall for Outlook. Sounds like this could be your issue, and remember that Windows Vista sports a two way firewall.

But the two way firewall has to be enabled as a snap in first, right Josh? -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Josh" wrote in message

Have you installed the latest service pack for Office or Outlook 2003? Its also some compatibility issues with ISA 2000 thats causing this. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "RonK" wrote in message

Vista won't let me install Office SP2 under any circumstances.
With my Domain Admin account it says I'm not an administrator of the machine, even though the account has been explicitly added to the Local Administrator's Group.
Logging on as the Local Admin won't allow the install of SP2 either.
Have no clue...I must admit the security (permissions) side of Vista are confusing the heck out of me.
It seems so secure you can't do anything at times!

You can't get more secure than that! 8^)

Update:
Previous post descriptions were with only Outlook 2003 installed from the Small Business Server administrative install share. With this install, SP2 could not be installed as previously described.
Removed Outllook 2003, and reinstalled a complete 120 day trial install of Office 2003 using the local Administrator account. Installed SP2 and all updates from Office Update Site.
Everything is fine except Outllok still will not pull mail down from the Exchange Server.
